The safety of our current students, team and future Alpha Student family is very important to us. Due to COVID-19 we will not be doing any tours. But, we are still more than happy to help. All utilities (water, electricity, uncapped internet) are included in the rental (subject to reasonable use!). High security with a 24-hour security guard, access control, CCTV.
Students can also enjoy the entertainment area, dedicated study area, dining areas, modern shared kitchens and secure vehicle parking (extra R550 per month). Laundry services are also available on site.
Rooms are fully equipped with custom-designed extra length ¾ beds with storage, desks, chairs, built-in cupboards, breakfast bars, study lamps, fridge/freezers (some rooms).
You can choose a room type on the schedule and on the layout plans provided in the room’s section of our website. We have various room types to suit your budget and needs. All our rooms are private or twins (sharing with a roommate). The range includes Penthouse Suites as well as Two and Three Bedroom Apartments.
We don’t want anything to make your stay less than amazing. Therefore, please report any maintenance issue in your room or in any communal area to the team as soon as possible. We have a maintenance team ready to fix any problem you have. You may report maintenance to the Front Desk of your residence or by submitting:
Yes, The Alpha Student has a no noise policy between 22:00 and 06:00 to ensure our students are well-rested and have sufficient time to study in peace. Over the weekend, the no noise policy is between 23:00 and 08:00. The rule is stipulated in our House Rules which can be downloaded from our website.

Yes, you are most welcome to invite your friends over, but remember that you are responsible for them and they must adhere to the House Rules. Your friends or family may not sleepover and no one can stay or sleepover in your room when you are not there. We have an arrangement with a fantastic Bed and Breakfast and at a good rate (dependant on availability) and we can arrange accommodation for your guest.
We care about the conditions you live in and want to provide you with the best service possible. Therefore, The Alpha Student has identified Semester Breaks as a good time to go through all the rooms to make sure that the rooms are in mint condition. We fix what needs to be fixed so that our students can return to a good as new room after their well-deserved break. The inspections are compulsory and are included in our Terms and Conditions.
